The World's First
Densified
Carbon Nanotube Sheet
What is DCN?
Densified Carbon Nanotube (DCN) is a novel carbon material in the form of sheet, film or membrane.
Without any polymer and with precise control of pores, DCN material is ideal for next-generation filtration membranes.
DCN sheet weighs about 1.0 g/cc and has a Complex Impedance of ~ 0. DCN sheet is also ideal for a broad range of applications where weight is a premium and strength is a must.
What makes DCN so unique?
Polymer-free and Metal-free
Foldable and Un-furlable Sheet
Better than Aluminum and Gold for weight sensitive applications
Unlike traditional carbon nanotube composite materials, DCN sheet contains no polymers, making it compatible in operating temperatures in air from -200ËšC to +350ËšC.
Our patented manufacturing process dramatically enhances the π-π stacking between individual carbon nanotubes. The much increased nanotube to nanotube attraction combined with the strong carbon-carbon bonds (σ and π bonds) of the nanotubes creates a workable sheet material with novel properties suitable for applications under extremely challenging conditions.
ECCN for our DCN sheet is 1C990 and ECCN for our technology is 1E994.
